Harpeth Road Press Summer Splash Sweepstakes Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

• The sweepstakes is open to residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

• Employees, contractors, directors, and officers of Harpeth Road, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

• The sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law.

2. Sponsor

• The sweepstakes is sponsored by Harpeth Road Press, located in Nashville, Tennessee.

3. Agreement to Official Rules

• By participating, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the sweepstakes.

4. Sweepstakes Period

• The sweepstakes begins on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. central standard time and ends on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at midnight central standard time (the "Sweepstakes Period").

• Entries submitted before or after the Sweepstakes Period will not be eligible with the exception of previous newsletter signups.

5. Prize

• The prize is as follows:

  8 paperbacks (one paperback of each title shown: The Law of Attraction, Once Upon a Royal Summer, The Library of Second Chances, Dressing the Countess, Fly Away Summer, The Magic of Sea Glass, The Golden Hour, The Island of Summer Sunsets)

  The approximate retail value of the prizes is $100.00.

• Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

6. Winner Selection and Notification

• Winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.

• Winners will be notified via social media direct message within 5 days of the end of the Sweepstakes Period.

• If a winner does not respond within 5 days of the notification, an alternate winner may be selected from the remaining eligible entries.

• Winner must provide publisher with confidential mailing address to receive the prize. Mailing address will not be used in any way beyond this sweepstakes.

7. Publicity

• By entering the sweepstakes, winners agree to the use of their name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes in any media without further consideration or compensation, unless prohibited by law.

8. Privacy

• Entrants’ personal information will be used in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.harpethroad.com/privacy-policy.

9. General Conditions

• The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the sweepstakes, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the sweepstakes, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.

• The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.

10. Release and Limitations of Liability and Disputes

• By participating in the sweepstakes, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the sweepstakes; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the sweepstakes or receipt of any prize.

• By participating in the sweepstakes, each entrant or participant also fully and unconditionally releases, discharges, and holds harmless Facebook, Inc, Meta, Instagram, X and all other social media platforms. from any and all liability associated with this promotion. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Meta, X, Instagram or any other social media platform.

  Entrants are providing information to Harpeth Road Press and not to Facebook. The information provided will be used for the administration of this promotion and in accordance with Harpeth Road’s privacy policy.

• Except where prohibited, entrants agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the state of Tennessee.

• All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants’ rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Tennessee, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.
