Welcome Lisa Williams Kline

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Harpeth Road has acquired world rights to Lisa Williams Kline’s fantastic novel The Bristlecone Writers’ Group.

Abe, Willoughby, and Jennie, of the Bristlecone retirement community writers’ group, critique each other’s writing, but keep their personal lives private. Yet when Margaret, the oldest member of the group, dies, their lives become entangled in ways they never imagined. A list of banned books in her otherwise empty briefcase sends the group on a quest to find out where the book titles lead. On the journey, will they discover that the greatest triumphs, second chances at love, and lifelong dreams can happen in their third act?

Lisa Williams Kline is the author of women’s fiction novels Ladies’ Day (CamCat Books), Between the Sky and the Sea (Dragonblade), The Ruby Mirror (The Bridge), as well as ten novels and a novella for young readers. Her work has appeared in Literary Mama, Skirt, Sasee, Carolina Woman, moonShine Review, The Press 53 Awards Anthology, Sand Hills Literary Magazine, and Idol Talk, among others. She attended Duke University, and received her MFA from Queens. She lives with her veterinarian husband, a cat who can open doors, and a sweet chihuahua who has played Bruiser Woods in Legally Blonde: The Musical. She treasures frequent visits with her daughters and their husbands.
