We are thrilled to bits to share the news that Founder and Director Jenny Hale has acquired world rights, including audio, from bestselling author Lindsay Detwiler through Erica Christensen, Senior Literary Agent at Metamorphosis Literary Agency, for a small-town, Christmas romance.
Lindsay Detwiler is the USA Today Bestselling Author of The Widow Next Door (Harper Collins UK), written under her pseudonym L. A. Detwiler. Under Lindsay Detwiler, she’s written award-winning romances. Her first book, Inked Hearts, in the Lines in the Sand Series, was named a Top Pick by Romance Times in 2017. In 2018, Route One Reads named Remember When as the romance pick of the year. Remember When also earned the 5-star seal from Reader’s Choice Reviews. Several of her other titles, including Who We Were and All of You, became Amazon bestsellers in their categories. In addition to writing novels, several of Detwiler’s articles have appeared in women’s publications, including Harness Magazine, Thought Catalog, Chicken Soup for the Soul, and Miss Millenia. She has also had several articles about relationships featured on The Huffington Post.
Harpeth Road Press will publish Lindsay’s romantic fiction title in the winter of 2024. Her novel THE HOLIDAY BAKE-OFF follows Lucy Carter, who is living out her writing dreams in the Big Apple. When she gets a phone call from her ailing grandma, though, she packs up her life and puts her dreams on hold in the name of family loyalty, returning to the small town of Star Creek to help out with her grandmother’s beloved bakery. She might not know anything about crafting the perfect cupcake, but she’ll try her best to salvage the annual Star Creek Bake-Off. Even if it might mean giving up on a new dream she’s had on her heart. And she has to manage differences with her grandma’s newest employee, the handsome Will Westerly in order to save the town’s tradition.
