The Golden Hour in the News

It was an early start for Jenny Hale this past Monday with a 5:30 a.m. air time on Panama City Beach, Florida’s Channel 7 News! Her novel The Golden Hour was chosen for their “Chapter Chat” bookclub book. Chapter Chat is a monthly meeting on the last Tuesday of this month at the Panama City Beach Public Library. Recently, Chapter Chat was recognized for helping increase local literacy with a national Service to America Award. “Since Chapter Chat launched more than a year ago, Panama City Beach Public Library officials say they’ve seen visitation increase by nearly 20 percent. They’ve also seen a 14 percent increase in library card holders. The library also secured a grant to get more books in circulation thanks to the Chapter Chat initiative.” (Source: https://www.wjhg.com/2024/04/16/wjhg-wins-national-service-america-award/)

Jenny Hale was invited to talk about her novel, their Chapter Chat June pick, on air to promote their Chapter Chat initiative. We couldn’t be happier to support their efforts in literacy. You can hear the full double interview by clicking the button below.
