Harpeth Road Signs Historical Fiction Author Rachel Brimble

We are over the moon to share the news that Founder and Director Jenny Hale has acquired world rights, including film/TV and audio, from Rachel Brimble for a new historical fiction novel.

No stranger to the world of fiction, Rachel has written a whopping 28 novels published by Harlequin, Aria Fiction, and Kensington Publishing, among others. Rachel is a member of the Romantic Novelists Association as well as the Historical Novel Society and has thousands of followers all over the world.

Harpeth Road Press will publish Rachel Brimble’s historical fiction title in the summer of 2024. The Affairs of Henlow House is a mid-1800s historical romance, revolving around two members of staff: Rose, who has been plucked from obscurity to be seamstress to the Countess of Bath, and Henry, a saddler for the Earl, with dreams of leaving England for the Mediterranean, far away from his suffocating family. Filled with drama, intrigue & romance, The Affairs of Henlow House is a must-read for fans of Downton Abbey and The Gilded Age.

Jenny said,

“I knew this book was something special right away and sent it straight to a member of my acquisitions team. The characters are layered and the team was intrigued by the development of Rose’s relationship with the countess, an added layer that will appeal to readers of women’s fiction as well as historical romance. I can’t wait to get this book out into the world.”

Rachel said,

“I am beyond thrilled to become the latest author to join the Harpeth Road family and even more thrilled to be their first contracted historical fiction author! I am looking forward to seeing what the future brings writing for such a vibrant, energized publisher, one that I’ve wanted to work with since the first day their doors opened!”
